Privacy policy

TORSDEN is a marketplace where businesses fund advertising budgets and creators take jobs, post to their own social accounts, and get paid. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the TORSDEN app and torsden.com, operated from Australia and governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Creators

• Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored as a secure hash, never readable by us).
• Creator profile: your social handle and platform, what you post about, your content style and availability, and, if you choose to set one, a fit profile (clothing and shoe sizes) used only to size products shipped to you.
• Job activity: the jobs you take, the links to posts you submit, and your earnings ledger.
• Payout details: the PayID or bank account you give us when you cash out, used only to pay you.
• Device: a push notification token, if you allow notifications.

Businesses

• Account and listing details: contact name, email, password, business name, ABN or ACN, street address, category, website or social link, logo, and your monthly budget settings.

Website visitors

• Waitlist entries: email, city, and an optional handle or venue name, plus the link source you arrived from (for example, which campaign a signup came through).
• We do not run advertising trackers or third party analytics on torsden.com.

What we do with it

• Run the marketplace: show jobs, price them, verify posts, move money between business budgets and creator wallets, and pay cash-outs.
• Verify accounts: we review creator applications and check business details, including their ABN, before listings go live.
• Contact you: service emails such as password resets, and, if you turn alerts on, push notifications about new jobs. You can turn alerts off at any time in the app.
• Keep the platform honest: we review submitted posts before any payment is made.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never post to your social accounts.
• We never share a creator's home address with a business. Products for online jobs are shipped without exposing your address to the brand.
• We never show your payout details to anyone but the TORSDEN team member paying you.

Social account connections

During the pilot, creator accounts are verified manually by our team from the handle you provide. When direct Instagram and TikTok connections launch, connecting will be optional and consent-based: we will read audience and view statistics for your account and for the posts you submit to TORSDEN, solely to price and settle jobs, and this policy will be updated before that happens.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with Supabase in Sydney, Australia. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's notification service. The website is served by Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. Financial records, such as the ledger of what we paid you, are kept as long as Australian tax and business record laws require, even after an account closes.

Your rights

• Access and correction: your profile is editable in the app, and you can ask us for a copy of your data at any time.
• Deletion: you can delete your account yourself in the app, under Profile. This permanently removes your profile, jobs, and wallet, subject to the record-keeping laws above.
• Complaints: contact us first, and if you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Age

TORSDEN is for people 18 and over.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
